Job description

Capital Market IT (CMI) is responsible for the information systems within the Global Markets Division, supporting all capital markets domains from pre-trade to post-trade activities, including risk management and regulatory reporting. CMI manages all IT activities, providing applicative support to end-users, maintaining and evolving information systems, and leading innovative transformation programs to support business growth and strengthen market franchises. The teams are distributed globally, with locations in Paris, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, and New York.

In line with the ambitions of the Global Markets Division (GMD), CMI aims to expand its presence in North America, focusing on consolidating and strengthening its workforce, particularly in Fixed Income e-trading, pricing, and booking activities such as Rates, Bonds, and Repos. This expansion will include build and run activities, fostering autonomy and leveraging global systems, with a goal of reaching 30+ staff by 2026.

To support this growth, CMI is hiring a local IT Head of Flow Products Domain in Montreal, Canada. This role will be responsible for establishing a resilient and sustainable setup aligned with CMI's global sourcing strategy and GMD's new objectives. The position will be a permanent member of the CMI Montreal leadership team.

Reporting to: Head of CMI Montreal

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and lead the local setup of the Flow Product Domain, ensuring the right balance between sourcing strategies, business needs, and skills.
2. Establish the appropriate leadership structure to develop the Flow Product Domain and achieve CMI sourcing goals in line with global strategy.
3. Build and adjust sourcing capacity considering business and IT constraints.
4. Support onboarding of contractors in collaboration with Procurement.
5. Develop talent within the team and support their professional growth.
6. Foster an environment of trust and empowerment, encouraging transparency, feedback, open communication, and innovation.
7. Focus teams on delivering business value and leveraging core IT capabilities.
8. Promote agility, product ownership, and close collaboration with the business.
9. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement in software development, operations, and developer experience, utilizing Agile, Software Craftsmanship, and DevSecOps principles.
10. Support technology watch and sharing of best practices among team members.
