Job summary

Maxim is seeking a Parts department team member for our fast-paced warehouse in Canada. You will pick, ship, and receive heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, and complete paperwork to ensure cost control and customer satisfaction. You will also load/unload deliveries and support internal transfers.

The role requires physical fitness, the ability to lift up to 80 pounds, a forklift license or willingness to obtain one, and reliable attendance in a Monday to Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• 2 years of work experience in related role.
• Experience in a fast paced work environment.
• Learner attitude, initiative and diligence.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to work outside for extended periods.
• Basic computer experience with ability to learn in-house system.
• Forklift license or ability to achieve.
• Ability to be exposed to weather conditions off/on throughout the day, year-round.
• Ability to climb ladders preferred.
• Knowledge of Heavy-duty parts an asset.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Receive products; verify against packing slip; generate receiving records; forward emergency stock; ensure freight cost is charged to customer.
• Pick parts per customer pick ticket; place orders in branch bins or direct-delivery section; keep aisles clean.
• Consolidate orders by destination and package for shipping; load/unload couriers and trucks from other branches.
• Prepare invoices, packing slips, and process credit card transactions for customer deliveries and pickups.
• Record vendor invoices in the Receiver spreadsheet and print for Accounts Payables.
• Pickup and deliver parts to external customers.
• Load trucks with specified parts.

Job description

Become a Parts department team member in our fast-paced warehouse environment. You will pick, ship, and receive heavy-duty truck and trailer products, and complete accurate associated paperwork to ensure cost control and customer satisfaction. You will also load/unload a company delivery truck with specified parts and deliver to customers.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM

Responsibilities

• Receives product as required (checking product received to packing slip and generating a receiving record) and forwards emergency stock for customers and ensure freight cost is calculated and charged to customer.
• Picks parts based on customer generated pick ticket.Places completed orders in branch bins or customer direct deliver section of warehouse. Aisles are kept clean.
• Consolidates orders going to same location and packages for shipping.Loads and unloads couriers and delivery trucks from other branches.
• Completes accurate associated paperwork. For example, computer generated invoices for direct customer delivery or customer pick-up orders; creates packing slips for inter-branch transfers; completes credit card transactions for customers.
• Records vendor invoices in Receiver spreadsheet when stock has arrived in the warehouse, posts the invoice on the spreadsheet, and print for Accounts Payables.
• Picks up and delivers parts to external customers.
• Loads trucks with specified parts.
