Shoemaker Drywall Supplies Ltd. in Cranbrook, BC, part of the GMS family, is seeking an Operations - Delivery Driver to transport building materials to customer sites and assist with on-site delivery and related physical labor in all weather conditions.

You will prioritize safety, communicate professionally with customers and co-workers, and coordinate with dispatch. A valid Class 1 or 3 license, basic math, and good communication skills are required, along with basic hand tool abilities.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Completion of high school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to the assigned area as directed by the customer.
• Prioritize personal safety and the safety of those around you.
• Communicate professionally with customers, co-workers, and trades on site.
• Maintain contact with dispatch and work to resolve issues as they arise.
• Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff as needed.
• Verify load security and accuracy.
• Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers.
• Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures.
