Job summary

The Food Bank of Waterloo Region in Kitchener, Ontario, is seeking a Delivery Program Driver for a 1-year contract. You will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of food hampers through the Home Delivery and After-Hours Locker programs, reporting to the Transportation and Logistics Manager, and ensuring a positive participant experience.

This onsite, full-time role requires a valid Ontario DZ license, 2 years of delivery/logistics experience, and the ability to lift up to

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Ontario DZ license with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Experience safely operating vans and larger delivery vehicles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Delivering food hampers to participants along scheduled routes for Home Delivery and After-Hours Locker programs.
• Interacting with participants in a respectful and professional manner.
• Ensuring deliveries are accurate, safe and follow food safety standards.
• Providing operational support to transportation and warehouse teams as needed.
• Assisting with warehouse operations, hamper preparation and inventory needs.
