Job summary

The Food Bank of Waterloo Region is looking for a Delivery Program Driver for a 1-year contract in Kitchener, ON. You will drive routes, deliver hampers through Home Delivery and After-Hours Locker programs, and provide occasional warehouse support to help meet community needs.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in delivery/logistics, a valid Ontario DZ license, and strong customer service and safety awareness. This is an in-person, onsite role with some flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in delivery, transportation, warehouse operations, logistics, customer service, or related field.
• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Ontario DZ license with a clean driver's abstract.
• Ability to operate vans and larger delivery vehicles safely.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile technology applications.
• Forklift license and warehouse equipment experience is an asset.
• Experience with inventory management systems is an asset.
• Experience with diverse populations and non-profit sector is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Delivering participant-centered food assistance through the Home Delivery and After-Hours Locker programs.
• Interacting with participants respectfully and ensuring accurate, safe deliveries.
• Supporting warehouse operations and other transportation activities as needed.
• Maintaining confidentiality and complying with food safety standards.
