Job Description

Job Summary

UPS is seeking individuals who enjoy working in a physical, fast-paced, outdoor environment involving package delivery in residential areas. Candidates should have excellent customer contact and driving skills.

Applicants must hold a valid class 5 driver’s license or higher issued in Quebec. Drivers are expected to adhere to UPS appearance guidelines. Since new drivers may cover multiple residential areas, area knowledge and the ability to read maps are advantageous.

Compensation

• Starting hourly rate: $17.75/h + bonus of $1.25/h
• Maximum rate: $36.14/h (probation + 48-month progression)
• Paid weekly via direct deposit every Friday

Schedule

• Start time between 9 AM and Noon, Monday to Friday
• Approximately 40 to 45 hours per week
• Working hours depend on volume and are not guaranteed

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (35 kg) unassisted and 150 lbs. (68 kg) with assistance
• Ability to read maps and navigate effectively
• Minimum age: 21 years (for insurance purposes)
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Driver’s abstract must be provided before the road test
• Clean driver’s abstract with no at-fault accidents in the last 3 years and no traffic violations in the past 12 months
