Job Description:

Job Summary

UPS is seeking individuals who enjoy working in a physical, fast-paced, outdoor environment involving package delivery in residential areas. Candidates should have excellent customer contact and driving skills.

Applicants must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license or higher issued in Quebec. Delivery drivers are expected to adhere to UPS appearance guidelines. Since new drivers may cover multiple residential areas, knowledge of the area and map-reading skills are advantageous.

Compensation

• Starting hourly rate: $17.75/h + bonus of $1.25/h
• Maximum rate: $36.14/h (probation + 48-month progression)
• Paid weekly via direct deposit every Friday

Schedule

• Start time between 9 AM and Noon, Monday to Friday
• Approximately 40 to 45 hours per week
• Working hours depend on volume and are not guaranteed

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (35kg) without assistance and 150 lbs. (68kg) with assistance
• Ability to read maps and navigate using map books
• Minimum age: 21 years (for insurance purposes)
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Provide a driver’s abstract before the road test
• Clean driver’s abstract with no at-fault accidents in the last 3 years and no traffic violations in the last 12 months
