Job Title: Class 5 Delivery Driver

Job Summary:

The Class 5 Delivery Driver will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of groceries to customers. This role requires professionalism, a strong commitment to safety and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive Class 5 vehicles (typically medium or heavy duty trucks) to transport groceries. Follow all traffic safety regulations and adhere to assigned delivery routes.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring safe handling and proper securing of items. May involve heavy lifting.
• Ensure deliveries are completed on time, maintain efficient routes and adapt to any changes.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, checking fluid levels, tires, brakes and lights to ensure vehicle readiness.
• Complete delivery paperwork, log entries and any forms required by the customer. Track mileage, fuel and maintenance.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer customer questions and communicate any delivery issues to dispatcher or supervisors.
• Adapt to road challenges such as traffic, construction or road closures to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications:

• Class 5 driver’s license (required).
• Experience driving Class 5 or similar vehicles (often 1+ years).
• Physical condition to handle heavy packages.
• Knowledge of Quebec roads and local delivery area.
• Communication skills in French and possibly English.
