Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking a capable delivery driver to operate a Class 1/AZ vehicle and transport building materials to customer job sites in Medicine Hat, AB. You will assist with onsite deliveries, ensure load security, and coordinate with dispatch and warehouse staff to maintain smooth operations.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and professional on-site communication with customers and trades, in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1/AZ driver license with clean abstract.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Basic hand tool skills.
• Completion of high school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to the assigned area as directed by the customer.
• Prioritize personal safety and the safety of those around you.
• Communicate professionally with customers, co-workers, and trades on site.
• Maintain contact with dispatch and work to resolve issues as they arise.
• Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff as needed.

Job description

Position Purpose

Safely operate a commercial vehicle for the transportation and placement of building materials at customer job sites. Assist with onsite deliveries requiring physical labor in all weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to the assigned area as directed by the customer.
• Prioritize personal safety and the safety of those around you.
• Communicate professionally with customers, co-workers, and trades on site.
• Maintain contact with dispatch and work to resolve issues as they arise.
• Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff as needed.
• Verify load security and accuracy.

Basic Requirements

• Valid Class 1 / AZ driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Basic hand tool skills.
• Completion of high school preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
• Sitting for long periods of time.
• Frequent climbing up and down stairs.
• Pulling, pushing, bending, and twisting movements to transfer building materials between truck and job site.
