Capgemini is hiring a full time Delivery Architect working 2 to 3 days hybrid in office in downtown Calgary. We are looking to hire locally and not relocate.

Job Description:

• Strong data modeler with 4 years of experience in BI/Data Warehousing required to develop a new complex data warehouse. Should have the following skills
• Experience designing data warehouse models
• Relational, Star Schema, Data Vault, or ODS
• Has defined the data models for at least 2 large scale data warehouses
• Strong in database scripting, and utilities
• Ability understand business requirements & own the entire data model design lifecycle (Conceptual to logical to physical)
• Good understanding of ETL and BI principles
• Able to communicate with business stakeholders to capture requirements, and advise on solution designs
• Strong understanding of tuning data structures for performance
• Ability to capture and communicate complex mappings, transformations, calculations, look ups, joins and business rules
• Experience with Data Governance, Data Dictionaries, Data Glossaries, Data Catalogs, Impact Analysis, Data Lineage, Data Quality, Data Procurement and Compliance standards (such as: GDPR, CCPA, and PII)
• Technologies:
• Data Governance Tools: Collibra, Alation, or Informatica EDC, Axon and IDQ

Typical Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and efficient data platforms
• Explore and implement new technologies that improve clients’ data and AI ecosystem, solve business challenges, and create competitive advantages.
• Act as a trusted advisor to our clients, and provide Data and AI advisory with stakeholders at all levels
• Establish DataOps frameworks for efficient production of high-quality data
• Take end-to-end responsibility for the technical solutions we deliver to clients
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and the capitalization of best practices within Capgemini’s Architect Community, as well as help build thought leadership through recognized expertise and hands-on experience in a specific technical domain
• Develop and justify business cases. Create compelling presentations to sell and visualize solutions

Your Skills and Experience

• You have a minimum of 7 years of proven experience (ideally with certification), including experience as a solution architect
• You have strong expertise in designing and implementing cloud-based data architectures, platforms, and concepts such as Data Mesh and Data Fabric
• You demonstrate proven skills in turning data strategy into tangible deliveries
• You possess a strong understanding of how systems operate (infrastructure, OS, networks, security, maintenance, etc.)
• You possess strong hands-on knowledge of one or more (ideally) platforms: Microsoft Azure/Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, Data Governance Tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc.
• You possess strong communication skills and are proactive in suggesting improvements
• Autonomy, leadership, creativity, and technical precision are qualities that define you
