Job summary

Calgary Co-op is seeking a Deli Utility Clerk to deliver excellent customer service and maintain a safe, efficient deli area. You will stock, face displays, manage product quality and pricing integrity, and assist with inventory and receiving in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires Grade 9 or equivalent, and bakery retail experience is preferred. Fluency in English and compliance with health and safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English.
• Bakery retail or related retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and maintain positive relations.
• Stock displays and ensure presentation and stock levels are maintained.
• Handle merchandise, ensure quality and price integrity, manage substitutions.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, dispose of debris.
• Follow health, safety and food safety regulations and policies.
• Assist in ordering, receiving, and inventory processes.
• Adhere to liquor regulations where applicable and support bar/deli operations.
