Job summary

Freson Market Ltd. in Hinton, AB is hiring a Full-Time Deli Manager to lead the deli and hospitality team, manage inventory, scheduling, and customer experience. The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced food-retail environment.

You will oversee ordering, training, and development, ensure food safety standards, and support catering events while embodying Freson Bros. values of Drive, Integrity, and Growth.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum of progressive restaurant or food-retail management experience.
• History of meeting financial objectives and targets in a deli or restaurant environment.
• Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong Google Suite skills and the ability to quickly learn new computer programs.
• Exceptional communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for leading and developing others.
• Effective critical thinking and conflict resolution skills.
• Comfortable working during peak food-retail hours (i.e. evenings, daytime, weekends, and holidays).
• Knowledge of the principles of food preparation and food safety regulations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management through weekly ordering, record & invoice maintenance, and leading quarterly inventory counts.
• Schedule Deli and Hospitality Team Members to ensure that production and customer needs are met.
• Ensure company standards are met and department programs are followed.
• Assist the Store Manager with recruiting while maintaining a high-performance work team.
• Train, develop, and motivate Deli and Hospitality Team Members.
• Resolve customer and Deli Department concerns and complaints, and provide a positive customer experience.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area.
• Assist the Catering Team with in-store catering events and preparation.
• Champion the Freson Bros. brand and culture by modeling our qualities of Drive, Integrity, and Growth.
• Providing an exceptional customer experience.
