Safeway in Fort Frances is seeking a Deli Sales/Service Clerk to create a welcoming experience by serving customers and preparing fresh foods. You will handle sandwiches, salads, and hot foods while keeping the deli organized and ready to serve.

You should be quick to learn, able to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong customer service and clear communication. Evening and weekend availability is encouraged, with lifting and standing required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to learn quickly and follow procedures.
• Thrive in a fast-paced retail deli environment.
• Strong customer service and clear communication.
• Capable of handling cash, debit and card transactions.
• Experience with food prep and sanitation is a plus.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift o up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsabilités

• Greet and assist customers with a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Prepare deli items such as sandwiches, salads and hot foods.
• Stock showcases and rotate product to maintain freshness.
• Process payments accurately at the register.
• Offer samples and promote daily specials.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and follow sanitation standards.
• Maintain a clean work area and comply with policies.
• Assist with packing and restocking as needed.

• Offering Samples to customers
• Hot and cold food preparation, including sandwiches, chickens, salads,soupsand specialty trays
• Use of commercial power equipment, including slicers,fryersand ovens
• Writing product orders
• Receiving and rotation of product
• Filling product showcases
