Job summary

Choices Market in North Vancouver is looking for an engaging person to join our Deli Clerk team in a part-time role. No experience required; on-the-job training provided. General Clerks work across departments like Deli, Grocery, Cash, Produce, and Dairy.

Evening and weekend availability with training shifts in the mornings is preferred. Responsibilities include stocking shelves, maintaining displays, assisting customers, operating a till, and supporting Front End.

Qualifications

• Engaging and friendly attitude with service orientation.
• Comfortable talking to customers and working as part of a team.
• Physically capable of a demanding role, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to stand for long periods and perform a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves and rotate products on the grocery floor.
• Ensure sale items are well represented on shelves and in displays.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries.
• Run a till and assist Front End department as needed.
• Wash, trim and cull produce; prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold foods in deli.
• Clean retail areas and workspaces daily.

Choices Market in North Vancouver currently has an opening for an engaging person who loves food to join our Deli Clerk team in a part-time capacity. No experience is necessary and on the job training will be provided.

Our General Clerks work in a variety of departments so no day is the same! You may be assigned to work in one of several departments such as Deli, Grocery, Cash, Produce, or Dairy.

This role will suit someone available to work evenings and weekends with the flex to work mornings to start for training.

Responsibilities include:

• stocking shelves and rotating products on the grocery floor;
• ensuring items on sale are well represented on shelves and in displays;
• responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries;
• running a till and providing additional assistance to the Front End department as required;
• washing, trimming and culling produce;
• preparing and cooking a variety of hot and cold foods in our deli; and,
• cleaning retail areas and work spaces on a daily basis.
