Qualifications

• High School or GED from an accredited school system or program is preferred.
• A minimum of one-year experience in a customer focused role.
• Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional image.
• Work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Balance concern for both task completion and customer needs.
• Genuine concern for customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers at the counter via ticket number system.
• Taking and filling customer orders.
• Preparing, portioning, and wrapping meat, cheese, and olive items.
• Using manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim food.
• Preparing sandwiches and deli trays.
• Cleaning and sanitizing the work area according to standards.
• Providing product advice to customers.
• Answering deli phone and taking customer orders.
• Promoting Italian Centre Shop products and services.
• Other duties as required.
