Job summary

Walmart Canada Bathurst is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to provide exemplary customer service and maintain the Bakery/Deli area. You will assist with stocking, pricing, and serving deli and bakery items, ensuring products are correctly signed, priced and displayed.

The role involves zone maintenance, stock rotation, order taking, and adherence to food-safety and cold-chain procedures. Minimum wage starts at $16.35 per hour, with bilingual postings in French/English where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Zone the department to ensure shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and products are in the correct location.
• Rotate stock and check for expired products.
• Ensure merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adhere to cold chain standards, thermometer calibrations and temperature recording.
• Take orders for Deli Department merchandise and prepare hot foods.
• Prepare deli items using utensils and rotisserie methods; fill side dishes for display.
• Prepare bakery items following thawing and baking guidelines for quality and presentation.
• Follow ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns and labeling procedures.

Position Summary...A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.What you'll do...1. Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.5. Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.6. Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.7. Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.8.
