Day to day, you'll maintain the Bakery and Deli departments, serve customers, prepare food items and keep shelves stocked and properly organized.

About the Role: Deli Bakery Associate

Much of the work centres on food preparation and product presentation. You'll follow thawing and baking guidelines for bakery items such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies and rolls, and prepare deli orders using utensils, including operating the rotisserie oven for chicken and filling prepared side dishes for the display area.

You'll also take customer orders for Deli merchandise and provide requested assistance with hot food items. Keeping the department zoned means confirming that product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and that items are in the correct location.

Cold chain compliance is a consistent part of the job. You'll follow standards for thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell‑by dates and expiration dates. Stock rotation and checks for expired products are also part of your regular duties.
