Deli Assistant Department Manager - Full Time

We are seeking a passionate Deli Assistant Department Manager - Full Time who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and has a love for food.

This is an excellent opportunity to advance into a leadership role. As the Assistant Deli Department Manager, you will support the Deli Manager in ensuring smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Motivate and mentor team members
2. Conduct and support regular team meetings
3. Coach and train team members to achieve high productivity
4. Address team member and customer issues effectively
5. Maintain compliance with company policies on health & safety, food safety, and loss prevention
6. Manage merchandise, inventory, and scheduling to meet financial goals
7. Deliver exceptional customer service to team members, customers, and vendors

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in a deli department with solid product knowledge
• Strong customer service skills and relationship-building ability
• Leadership skills to motivate and coach in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with computers and quick learner of new systems
• Ownership and urgency in resolving issues
• Effective communication and listening skills
• Creativity in creating eye-catching displays
• Ability to model and inspire behavior aligned with company values
