Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Manager to lead defense procurement transformations from Ottawa. You will drive enterprise-wide strategy, secure supply chains, and cross-functional delivery for national security programs with public-sector partners.

The role emphasizes governance, digital enablement, and client relationships across high‑value contracts. You will mentor teams, shape procurement policy insights, and support new opportunities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate or post-graduate degree in relevant fields.
• 8+ years of consulting or industry experience in defense/government procurement.
• Ability to obtain or hold a Government of Canada security clearance up to Secret level.
• Experience with high‑value, complex, or classified procurements.

Responsibilities

• Guide defense organizations through enterprise-wide procurement and supply chain transformations.
• Support CPOs and senior defense leaders in modernization efforts.
• Provide advisory on secure, compliant procurement practices.
• Lead major procurement modernization programs including secure P2P and digital platforms.
• Design and implement procurement processes aligned with defense sector requirements.
• Own client relationships and day-to-day delivery.
• Coach junior staff and support capability development.
• Develop proposals addressing defense-specific procurement challenges.
