Coast Mountain College invites applications for a full-time Dean – Centre for Community Workforce Development (CCWD). Salary is $162,922 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package.

The Dean provides strategic and academic leadership to advance high-quality programs that support student success, workforce development, and community impact. The role involves leading business development, partnerships, and cross-sector collaboration to expand the College's regional relevance.

Qualifications

  • Master's or higher in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Five to seven years of progressive leadership experience in workforce development, continuing education or related sectors.
  • Proven success in business development, partnership building, and revenue generation.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage change, and work with unions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and addressing barriers to education.
  • Experience with experiential, place-based education is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for CCWD through planning, innovation, and alignment with regional workforce needs.
  • Ensure programming is high-quality, responsive, and financially sustainable while supporting revenue growth.
  • Lead business development, partnerships, client engagement, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Oversee non-credit, micro-credential, and customized training program design and evaluation.
  • Develop and lead faculty, staff, and business development teams in a collaborative culture.
  • Provide financial stewardship through budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate across the College and report to support institutional goals.
  • Represent the College on internal/external committees and community forums.
