Job summary

UAP is seeking a DC Operations Manager responsible for achieving distribution center objectives including gross margins, FTE, expense control and service levels. You will coordinate strategies and tools to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of DC operations and report on budget performance.

Responsibilities include training Warehouse Managers, collaborating with the General Manager on priorities, negotiating with carriers and leading management meetings.

Qualifications

  • 5years of experience in managing DC operations.
  • Demonstrated success in managing gross profits and budgeting for a large-scale operation.
  • Experience in the automotive aftermarket is an asset.
  • Bilingual French and English.

Responsibilities

  • Work with DC operations related departments and Warehouse Managers to deploy strategies to improve DC efficiency and service levels.
  • Train and coach Warehouse Managers on DC operations aspects.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to define priorities and approve action plans; support business cases for investments.
  • Conduct management meetings with the DC management team.
  • Negotiate, implement, and manage collective agreements and CRT/CSST committees.
  • Develop policies and management plans for returns.
  • Negotiate with carriers; participate as a member of the regional management committee.

Job Description

The DC Operations Manager is responsible for achievingDistributionCenter objectives such as: gross margins, FTE, expense control and customer service levels.They willcoordinate the implementation of strategies and tools to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of theDistributionCenters.Theywill be responsible for budget development, performance monitoring and reporting.

Yourresponsibilities:

  • Work withDistributionCenter operations related departments andWarehouseManagers to adapt and deploy strategies and tools to improve the effectiveness and efficiency ofDistributionCenter operations and customer service levels. Ensure that policies and procedures are implemented and followed with the support of theDistribution Centre Managementteam;
  • Train and coach Warehouse Managers on aspects ofDistributionCenteroperations;
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to define and review operational priorities, opportunities for improvement and approve an action plan. Support the General Manager in the preparation of business cases for investments at theDistributionCenterlevel;
  • Conduct management meetings with his or herDistributionCenterManagementteam;
  • Responsible for the negotiation,implementation,and management of collective agreements, as well as the holding of CRT and CSSTcommittees;
  • Develop policies and management plans forreturns;
  • Responsible for negotiations withcarriers;
  • Member ofthe regional management committee.

Salary range: $92,500 - $115,600. The final offer will depend on internal equity and relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • 5years of experience in managingDCoperations
  • Demonstrated success inmanaging gross profits, understanding of financial statements and budgeting for alarge-scaleoperation
  • Experience in the automotive aftermarket is an asset
  • Bilingual(French and English)
