Job summary

The New Frontiers School Board is seeking a Daycare Technician to develop a comprehensive day care activities program, supervise students, ensure safety, and manage budget and staffing. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills in English and French, plus experience with bookkeeping and payroll software.

Based in a school setting, the technician will coordinate with the principal and HR, maintain records, and oversee daily operations of the day care service.

Qualifications

• Hold a Diploma of College Studies in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Written and oral proficiency in the two official languages (English and French).
• Experience organizing activities for school-age children and working with young children.
• Bookkeeping, basic accounting, and payroll software experience.
• Proficiency with Excel and computer-based records; ability to manage staff schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the day care activities program.
• Supervise students and ensure health, safety, and well-being.
• Manage budgeting, enrollment, attendance, and reporting.
• Coordinate with administration, parents, and staff; train or supervise staff as needed.
