Job summary

AGF Group is seeking an outdoor-ready worker for a day shift position operating shearing, bending, and shaping machines to process rebar for major construction projects. You will cut rebar to specified lengths, ensure correct bar sizes and tags, and lift up to 50 lbs as part of daily tasks.

The role requires good math, teamwork, and adherence to safety policies. Starting salary is $23.50/hour with benefits after probation, weekly pay, and insurance coverage.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role in manufacturing.
• Basic math/measurement skills.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate shearing, bending, and shaping machines.
• Cut rebar to specified lengths and bend to required shapes and angles.
• Ensure correct bar sizes, grades, and tags are used for each order.
• Bend to lift and manually load up to 50 pounds rebar into the machines on a regular basis.
• In a standing position, untangle and shake up to 50 pounds of rebar as needed.
• Perform daily pre-use inspections of machinery and tools and daily hazard assessment.
• Wear PPE at all times.
• Keep hands, clothing, and tools away from moving parts and avoid bypassing safety guards.
• Clean machines and work areas after shutdown and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Comply with AGF’s Health & Safety policies.
