Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Full-Time Housekeeping Aide in Kingston, Ontario, Monday to Friday 8 AM to 4 PM. You will clean resident apartments and common areas using established cleaning methods and safety practices.

Ideal candidates have good English communication, previous healthcare cleaning experience, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. A Vulnerable Sector Check is required or will be obtained through Cogir; bilingual abilities are an asset.

Qualifications

Must provide a Vulnerable Sector Check within six months.
Experience in healthcare cleaning is desirable.
Strong English communication skills and daily feedback ability.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

To clean areas according to assigned schedules using appropriate methods and procedures.
To clean residents' apartments and common areas, including fixtures and surfaces.
To operate floor care machines and steam cleaning equipment.
To strip, scrub, spray, and buff all floor surfaces.
To pick up garbage and transport to designated areas.
To attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
