Job description

Join AZAD as an Oracle Database Administrator and be an integral contributor to the design and implementation of highly available database solutions in support of IT Infrastructure and platform services' functions for a line of business applications within a regional electric utility environment. This individual will provide Oracle RDBMS support, including Exadata.

This is a 2 years plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid in Portland, Oregon with onsite 1-2 days weekly.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $70.00 - $76.00 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.

The ideal candidates must possess the following:

A bachelor's degree in information technology (or closely related technical discipline) is preferred.

10+ years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor's degree.

15+ years of experience is required without a degree or applicable degree.

Experience should include directly related IT infrastructure administration.

10+ years of knowledge and experience sufficient to administer Oracle 19c/23ai on a Linux platform.
5+ years of knowledge and experience sufficient to successfully troubleshoot Linux and Windows operating systems using text-based logs, Windows event logs, and various utilities as it pertains to support of Oracle Database services.
5+ years knowledge of and experience building tools for other administrators to use and automating operations with scripting tools such as shell scripting and PowerShell.
5+ years of knowledge of and experience with TCP/IP and related services.
Direct experience supporting production workloads using Oracle RAC.
