Job summary

Amcor in Canada is seeking a data professional to create and maintain accurate data for over 25 plants, acting as a back-up to ensure uninterrupted service and KPI achievement.

You will support daily data activities, work with ERP and SAP-like systems, collaborate across departments, and participate in continuous improvement to strengthen end-to-end processes while learning and growing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or some college is preferred.
  • 1 year of professional experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or customer service.
  • Basic technical knowledge of ERP systems preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Detail oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain data for over 25 Amcor plants.
  • Back up designated team members to prevent service disruption.
  • Support daily data creation and maintenance across teams.
  • Assist with system deployment activities and meet deadlines.
  • Participate in problem solving to identify root causes.
  • Adhere to data standards and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Resolve escalated issues related to orders, plant requests, and graphics.
  • Engage in continuous improvement projects to enhance data accuracy.
  • Interpret and adhere to standard data processes and SLAs.
  • Support onboarding and data transfer between Amcor plants.

Job Description
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
  • Has primary focus on data creation and maintenance, in collaboration with appropriate business resources, to ensure complete and accurate data for over 25 Amcor plants.
  • Act as the back-up for designated team members. Adheres to appropriate back-up strategies to ensure there is no disruption to service or department level KPIs.
  • Supports daily creation & maintenance activities by extracting and interpreting system information to support customer service, graphics, planning, manufacturing, R&D and supply chain functions.
  • Support system deployment activities with adherence to project deadlines and data accuracy.
  • Participate in problem solving sessions in order to identify root cause and corrective actions.
  • Follow established business data standards and procedures across the business. Develops a basic understanding of downstream impacts on all departments. Invests in cross-functional relationships with plant and corporate partners to improve end to end processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve escalated issues related to customer orders, plant requests, workflow projects and graphics issues in order to meet or exceed customer expectations and deadlines.
  • Participates in continuous improvement projects that promote data accuracy, governance and standard work across all Amcor plants.
  • Interpret and adhere to Amcor standard data processes and comply with service level agreements to support our customer‑centric organization. Seek out learning opportunities and critical experiences to broaden understanding of standard work and best practices.
  • Support project work as assigned by project manager.
  • Accountable for system data accuracy, integrity, and completeness within multiple Amcor systems including, but not limited to WebCenter, GEM, SAP and Specification Maintenance System. Assists with data governance activities that support system consistency and reliability.
  • Identify personal training and growth opportunities. Able to interpret documentation required to facilitate data creation and maintenance in assigned market segment for a specified product types while adhering to established department KPIs.
  • Possesses the technical knowledge and basic troubleshooting skills required to quickly identify and execute data changes that have a real‑time impact to customer products and manufacturing processes.
  • Assists with data creation activities to support onboarding activities of new customers and business transfer activities between Amcor Flexibles North America plants.
