Job summary

CIBC in Chicago is seeking a Data Security Consultant to shape data security frameworks, govern risk, and advise technology and business teams. You will work across cloud platforms such as Databricks and Microsoft Azure to ensure regulatory alignment and effective control design.

You’ll contribute to capability maturity, collaborate with risk, legal and owners, and help protect sensitive data while aligning with enterprise objectives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of governance frameworks, control design, risk management and compliance.
• Experience applying governance and technical advisory in complex environments.
• Familiarity with data security capabilities like DSPM and data discovery.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance data security frameworks and control requirements.
• Assess data security risks and support policy and compliance oversight.
• Provide guidance to technology and project teams on security needs and best practices.
• Support maturity of enterprise data security capabilities and DSPM solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security with business priorities.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen governance and data protection posture.
