Job summary

Geotab seeks a Data Scientist Intern within the Insights & Integrations Consultancy team to help analyze data, create dashboards, and develop analytics-driven solutions for fleet optimization. You will work with open data platforms and telematics data, collaborating with Data Scientists and Product Managers.

The role offers a 4–8 month work-term starting January 2027, full-time paid internship, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with GEO Launch orientation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in data science or related field.
• Basic experience with Python for data analysis or automation.
• Familiarity with SQL and structured datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Interest in data visualization and storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Develop data-driven dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and cross-functional teams to support insights.
• Assist in data exploration, visualization, and analysis of telematics data.
• Maintain data pipelines using SQL and Python-based workflows.
• Apply statistical and ML techniques under guidance to fleet analytics.
