TD's Analytics, Insights & AI team in Canada seeks a Data Scientist to lead end-to-end analysis of customer transactions and engagement trends for CPB. You will apply Python, SQL, PySpark and Power BI to generate insights that inform customer strategies and support decision making in Toronto.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • Graduate degree preferred with relevant project work.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience; higher degree education and research tenure can be counted.

We work with business partners to address their analytics needs by providing end-to-end support of data, reporting, analytics, insights, and artificial intelligence solutions. AI2 is an exciting team to be a part of as we are transforming how we provide key insights and opportunities for our business partners to better serve our customers.Job Description:We are seeking a Data Scientist who will part of our Customer Strategy POD by leading out end to end analysis of customer transaction and engagement trends to support key CPB initiatives. This includes data exploration, requirements gathering, documentation and presenting findings in business-friendly language. This role is part of a new POD being stood up to support the overall CPB Customer Relationship Deepening and Engagement business partners.Some of the key responsibilities of this role include the following,Data Analysis & Insights : Analyze customer interaction and transaction data to understand key trends and behaviors.Coding & visualization : Use SQL, Python, PySpark and PowerBI for analysis and visualization to generate key insights that will inform Customer Strategies and support report builds.Collaboration : Collaborate with Customer Strategy Deepening and Engagement business partners to help identify opportunities and provide insights and analysis on high level CPB initiatives.The ideal candidate will have experience:Working with various and large datasets, prefer candidate have experience with CPB data/productsUsing multiple analytics techniques to support the business strategy.Creating strong partnership with business partners.Demonstrating critical thinking and structured problem-solving skillsRequired Qualifications & SkillsUndergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance, or computer science) Graduate's degree preferred with either progressive project work experience4+ year of relevant experience; higher degree education and research tenure can be counted.Technical Skills:Coding: Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and SQL (writing complex queries, stored procedures, data extraction).Data Visualization: Experience with Power BI reporting.Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure etc.)Data Handling: Experience working with large datasets and transactional records.Soft Skills:Strong analytical mindsetStrong oral & written communication skillsProblem-solving abilitiesAbility to translate data insights into business recommendationsComfortable in a team environment with changing prioritiesAbility to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentWho We Are:TD is one of the world's leading global financial institutions and is the fifth largest bank in North America by branches/stores.
