We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist for our client. This is a permanent, fully remote position with a fintech company based in Vancouver.

Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Science using R (purrr, tidyr, dplyr, tibble, tidyverse)
• Strong analytical skills with unstructured data sets
• Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) and non-relational databases (MongoDB)
• Experience with big data tools like Spark, Kafka, RabbitMQ
• Startups experience is a plus
• Experience with cloud services, especially AWS, is a plus
