Job summary

Intact in Canada is seeking data science interns to join a growing team of Digital, Data and Tech experts. You will translate complex datasets into business-ready insights and build production-grade Python ML code, contributing to AI-enabled products.

This internship is full-time (35 hours/week) for Winter 2027 in a hybrid setting. You should be a currently enrolled student and eligible to work in Canada, with strong analytical and communication skills and a passion for learning.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in AI, data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related field.
• Available to work full-time, 35 hours per week, for Winter 2027, in a hybrid mode.
• Must be an active student during internship and/or returning to school next Summer or Fall 2027.
• No Canadian work experience required, but must be eligible to work in Canada.
• Previous internship or work experience in data science/AI/ML is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex, multi-sourced datasets into clear, business-ready insights, recommendations, and measurable impact.
• Build production-quality analytical and ML code (Python) using modern libraries and best practices to deliver robust technical outcomes.
• Contribute to applied research and development that advances AI-enabled products—prototyping, experimenting, and validating approaches.
• Explore and evaluate cutting-edge methods across ML/AI, translating promising ideas into practical solutions.
• Work hands-on with diverse data modalities (geomatics/geospatial, time-series, text, images) linking patterns to decisions.
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders through concise narratives and visuals.
