Job summary

QuadReal Property Group seeks a Data Quality & Controls Analyst to safeguard data across the Enterprise Data Platform, translating business rules into automated checks and supporting SOC 1 controls. The role collaborates with Data Governance, BI developers, data engineers, and analytics engineers and can be based in Toronto or Vancouver.

You will monitor Airflow, dbt, Microsoft Fabric, and SYNQ pipelines, manage data quality thresholds, and maintain evidence for audits while ensuring timely data

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data quality, analytics engineering, or controls-focused analytics.
• Advanced SQL skills including profiling, reconciliation, validation.
• Experience with dbt, Airflow, and data governance tooling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily end-to-end data processes with Airflow, dbt, Fabric, SYNQ, and Power BI.
• Log, prioritize, and track data quality issues; coordinate reruns and backfills.
• Translate business rules into freshness, completeness, validity, and referential checks.
• Configure and maintain monitors, alerts, lineage, and data quality metrics in SYNQ.
• Maintain evidence and run histories for SOC 1 compliance.
• Support SOC 1 walkthroughs and remediation activities with Risk and Audit.
• Manage Quadrant overrides with proper authorization and validation.
• Validate manual file ingestion for identity, format, and timing.
• Document runbooks, data definitions, and change records.
• Understand data lineage and reporting impact on Power BI.
