Canada Life is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to design and implement scalable data platform solutions in a cloud environment. You will partner with internal customers to resolve development challenges and enhance DevOps services for data pipelines.
The role requires Python proficiency, strong ML lifecycle experience, and hands-on work with Azure ML, SageMaker, Data Factory, Databricks, and GitLab. Excellent communication and leadership abilities are essential.

Are you a Data Engineer professional with focus on platform administration and support and strong Leadership and Communication skills looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity? Canada Data Team is looking for a Data Platform Engineer to join our team.
The Data Platform Engineer is responsible for providing data platform and tool solutions to support business needs at Canada Life. Leveraging your cloud and Microsoft Azure technical subject matter expertise, you will have the exciting opportunity to design, adapt, and maintain data platform solutions within a cloud environment. You will navigate and reconcile considerations for immediate and future platform needs, encompassing but not limited to scalability, maintainability, performance, accuracy, reliability, security, compliance, cost, and robustness, even in situations where the requirements may be unclear or evolving. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Product Owners as well as developers, quality assurance, governance & support experts in Toronto and other offices. In this role, you will be part of an on-call rotation in order to service our customers.
The base salary for this position is between $80,700 - $95,700 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
