Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and optimize scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

You will implement ETL/ELT workflows, manage data ingestion, and collaborate with data scientists and architects to deliver end-to-end solutions. You will ensure data quality, reliability and performance while following security and IAM best practices.

Qualifications

• Years of experience as a Data Engineer with GCP experience.
• Strong knowledge of BigQuery, Dataflow and Dataproc.
• Proficient in SQL and Python, with data modeling skills.
• Experience with Terraform, Cloud Build or similar IaC tools.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and data warehousing.
• Experience with streaming pipelines and real-time analytics.
• Ability to design scalable, secure data pipelines on GCP.
• Experience building ETL/ELT workflows using Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Dataproc, BigQuery.
• Ingest data with batch and streaming frameworks (Pub/Sub, Kafka).
• Collaborate with data scientists, architects and business teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
• Maintain data quality, reliability and automation through monitoring and validation.
• Implement CI/CD for data workflows using Cloud Build, Git and Terraform.
• Optimize cost, performance and scalability across GCP data services.
• Adhere to security best practices and IAM policies.
• Collaborate with seniors to gather requirements and review test strategies.
• Testing of GCP applications.
• Meet project deadlines and participate in team meetings.

Salary Range - CA$ 90,000 - CA$ 100,000 Per annum
