Job summary

Mindlance is seeking a Data Governance/DQ Analyst in Toronto, onsite 4 days a week. You will manage metadata and Data Quality in Capital Markets, advocating governance practices and solving complex data issues.

The role requires strong data analysis, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor teammates and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Data Science/Computer Science/Commerce with strong computer skills.
• SQL and Python proficiency.
• CM business knowledge with IT skills.

Job description

Location : Toronto, ON (Need to go 4 days in week onsite)

As a Data Governance/DQ Analyst, you will mix project and application support for the management of Meta data and Data Quality in Capital Markets. On projects your focus will be the adoption of Data Governance and Data Quality principles and practices. You will be called on to find solutions to complicated data issues. Specifically, you will have to capture business needs, by understanding client requirements, and work with end users to prioritize their DQ requirements and its implementation.

As a member of a dynamic, fast paced team, this role brings strong data analysis skills and leadership, effective written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic and a demonstrated capability to multi-task effectively. Represent business interests in identifying, prioritizing and resolving data related issues. This role requires strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving skills and flexibility to respond to changing priorities at times. Coordinate and lead the execution of tasks required to service the business from a data quality perspective. Train, teach, and mentor other team members to support internal growth and team success

Must have

• Degree Data Science, Computer Science or Commerce with excellent computer skills. Financial knowledge around Bank Data, Data Governance
• SQL and python
• CM business knowledge + IT skills
