Job description

Seeking a data entry specialist with banking and lending experience for a 3-month contract in Downtown Edmonton!

Responsibilities :

  • Accurately input and update financial data into internal banking systems and databases.
  • Verify, review, and reconcile data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all customer and transaction information.
  • Retrieve and process financial documents, forms, and reports.
  • Support account reconciliations and data audits as needed.
  • Coordinate with banking departments to resolve discrepancies or incomplete information.
  • Adhere to data entry protocols and financial compliance regulations.
  • Generate routine reports and summaries for internal use.
  • Assist in document filing and data organization.
  • Perform other clerical or administrative duties as required.

Qualifications :

  • Previous banking or financial institution experience is required.
  • Proficiency in data entry software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong typing speed with high accuracy (typically 8,000+ KPH or 50+ WPM).
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Understanding of financial terminology and basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills for coordination with team members and other departments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field is an asset.
  • Familiarity with core banking systems or CRM platforms (e.g., FIS, Temenos, Salesforce) is a plus.
