Job summary
CATSA is seeking a Data Engineer within the Technology branch in Ottawa to analyze, develop, implement, and support data solutions, including ETL, Power Platform, and AI/MLOps operations. The role emphasizes building dashboards, applications, and automated workflows to drive data-driven decisions.
The ideal candidate has a university degree in CS/IT or related field, 3+ years of SQL experience, 3+ years in Power Platform, and 2+ years with ETL/data engineering tools, with strong communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Management, or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
- Minimum 3 years of advanced SQL experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience using Microsoft Power Platform tools (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Minimum 2 years of experience with ETL/data engineering tools (e.g., SSIS, DataStage, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse).
Responsibilities
- Design and create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI for data-driven insights.
- Develop custom applications with PowerApps to meet business requirements.
- Automate workflows with Power Automate to improve efficiency.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for data integration and analytics.
- Implement and manage ETL processes to ensure data quality across sources.
