Job summary

Avanade Canada is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team within the Business Intelligence practice. You will work with Microsoft cloud technologies, access to latest Microsoft tools, and collaborate with experts to deliver cutting-edge solutions for clients.

Responsibilities include applying statistics, data modeling, and analysis to uncover insights, building scalable data pipelines, and leveraging tools like Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Kafka.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of data mining, analysis, and modeling.
• Experience with at least one key analytics tool (R, SAS, SPSS, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, etc.).
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, quantitative analysis, and forecasting/predictive analysis.

What you’ll do:

Use your knowledge of statistics, programming, data modeling, and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, ask business questions, and make valuable discoveries that lead to better business decisions. Support passionate project teams developing customer solutions through exploratory data analysis. Provide feedback on data visualization techniques and opportunities. Stay up-to-date on current trends in AI, cloud computing, and big data within the data community. Be introduced to implementing big data architectures with tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Kafka.

Skills and experiences :

Knowledge of data mining, analysis, and modeling.
