Description :

The Internal Trade Activity and Reporting Applications (ITARA) department manages and develops databases and processes data across divisions and business lines, including front office trading, reference, finance, and risk data. Technologies used include Sybase, DB2, KDb, Greenplum, Hadoop, and MongoDB. ITARA owns several datamarts and BI platforms (Business Objects, QlikView, Tableau) for data analysis. Responsibilities include database modeling, design, SQL development, capacity planning, performance tuning, maintenance, and ETL pipelines.

The DataMart Analytics team seeks talented data engineers to manage large databases and deliver multiple projects in parallel. Strong communication skills are essential due to the global distribution of stakeholders. The role involves working closely with IT partners, following agile methodologies (scrum, XP), and collaborating across teams. Tasks include designing, enhancing, developing applications, and supporting project lifecycle activities, including proof-of-concept, coding, testing, deployment, and on-call support.

Major Responsibilities :

• Database Infrastructure Engineering for stability, scalability, and capacity planning
• Database development (stored procedures, ETL, tools) and query optimization

Technical Skills Requirements :

• 3-5 years of experience with relational databases, especially DB2 Linux or Sybase
• Strong knowledge of database performance tuning (indices, statistics, reorgs, de-normalization, memory management, configurations)
• Creating high-quality, optimized stored procedures and queries
• Knowledge of Greenplum and DataLake is a plus
• Finance domain experience is a plus
• Familiarity with CI / CD tools
