Data Engineer - GCP Cloud Engineer

Centiro’s Software Developers create next-generation technologies for our Supply Chain Network Cloud, essential in digital trade and e-commerce. As a Data Engineer in our platform team, your daily work will involve developing our internal data science and machine learning platform based on Google Cloud Platform.

You will collaborate with Software Developers and Application Specialists. Our teams consist of individuals with diverse skills who handle the full spectrum of tasks, from analysis and design to development, testing, and integration.

Your responsibilities include working with the Data Science team to understand and operationalize scalable, resilient data pipelines, and collaborating to enhance data architecture, quality, monitoring, and processing schemes. You will develop and support our platform and architecture based on GCP, enabling data science initiatives in logistics and transport management. Staying updated with advancements in big data/cloud technologies and leveraging these to improve and scale existing data architectures is also key. Additionally, you will support big data/AI solutions to meet business needs across Centiro and help integrate these into production workflows.

You should be an expert in Google Cloud Platform, capable of serving as the GCP Subject Matter Expert. A team player who values cooperation and mutual support is essential. A collaborative mindset and attitude are more important than prestige or personal priorities. You are encouraged to experiment, learn, and continuously develop, driven by a desire for improvement and new perspectives.

MUST HAVES

• 5+ years of experience
• Hands-on experience with GCP, with a strong understanding of its capabilities and limitations
• Good understanding of Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Projects, and Networks
• Practical experience with Google Kubernetes Engine
• Experience automating infrastructure on Google Cloud using Terraform
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging
• Experience managing Identity and Access Management
• Knowledge of GCP services such as Compute Engine, Storage, and Databases
• Experience with GCP Managed Services like BigQuery and Dataflow
• Experience setting up and configuring cloud environments in Google Cloud
• Experience deploying machine learning solutions to production
• Knowledge of MLOps and software engineering for machine learning is a plus
