A leading technology firm in Hamilton, Canada is seeking a Data Center Technician to support critical infrastructure at world-class data center facilities. This full-time, on-site position involves installing, configuring, and maintaining server and network equipment, as well as performing structured cabling. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of data center operations experience and advanced troubleshooting skills. The role offers a salary range of C$55,000-70,000/year and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience.
• Experience with rack and stack operations.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.

Skills

Expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber)

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Excellent documentation and communication skills

Tools

Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, CDCE)

Vendor certifications (Dell, HPE, Cisco)
