Data Center Shift Technician — Critical Systems

Job summary

Yondr Group is seeking a Critical Facility Shift Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of mission-critical data center infrastructure. You will perform facility rounds, monitor BMS/EPMS alarms, and document all events, isolations, and maintenance tasks in accordance with SOPs.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, relevant technical certification, and 2+ years in critical environments. The role requires night, weekend and holiday shifts in a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in mission-critical environments (data centers, hospitals, industrial plants)
• Experience with energy isolation, LOTO, and switchgear operations
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs
• Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E) and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work night, weekend and holiday shifts in a 24/7 operation

Responsibilities

• Perform facility rounds to inspect critical systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire/life safety, security)
• Monitor BMS/EPMS platforms and respond to alarms per SOPs
• Log alarms, events, isolations, and shift activities with accuracy
• Execute energy isolation procedures (LOTO) and switch operations; document accordingly
• Coordinate with vendors for planned and emergency isolations
• Maintain records of isolation activities and maintenance tasks
