Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience with at least 5 years in project management or leadership roles.
• Proven experience delivering data center, mission-critical, or other highly technical infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing full lifecycle projects valued at $100M+.
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution, backup power, cooling, telecommunications, and commissioning requirements.
• Ability and willingness to travel across Alberta and other project locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of mission-critical data center construction projects, ensuring alignment with client operational, reliability, and performance requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary scopes including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, communications, and commissioning activities.
• Manage construction activities associated with critical power and cooling infrastructure, including substations, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, mechanical cooling systems, and supporting utility infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with owners, consultants, commissioning agents, equipment vendors, and trade partners throughout project execution.
• Lead constructability reviews, sequencing planning, shutdown coordination, and turnover readiness activities; ensure integrated systems testing and client handover milestones.
• Drive schedule performance on fast-track project delivery models with concurrent procurement, engineering, and construction.
• Monitor procurement and delivery of long-lead equipment critical to project execution.
• Support the proposal/estimating team to provide a quality submission that is both competitive and achievable.
• Lead the transition from estimating/preconstruction into project execution, aligning scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resources.
• Manage stakeholder communications across disciplines with focus on quality, schedule, safety, and operational readiness.
• Demonstrate commercial acumen to control costs and improve margins; enforce timely change management.
• Accurately forecast and report performance (safety, schedule, cost, quality); identify and manage risks.
• Negotiate and execute contracts in a timely, cost-effective manner; manage stakeholder relations.
