Job summary

Collabera in Sherbrooke, QC, is seeking a Data Center Operations Manager to oversee a team of technicians and lead the day-to-day operations of the datacenter infrastructure.

You will ensure 24/7/365 availability, drive ongoing improvements in monitoring, security, and compliance, and coordinate with vendors, hosting providers, and internal stakeholders.

Strong leadership, networking, and mechanical/electrical DC systems expertise are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical teams in data center operations.
• Strong networking knowledge and data center hardware expertise.
• Experience with incident management and root-cause analysis.
• Familiarity with RBQ, CCQ, ASHRAE building standards.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of DCIM/IPAM platforms.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily ops of critical DC infrastructure (UPS, generators, cooling).
• Oversee deployment and installation of new IT equipment.
• Manage decommissioning, inventory, and access requests.
• Monitor BMS/EPMS and ensure cabling standards.
• Lead incident responses and root-cause analyses.
• Coordinate with hosting-provider teams and vendors.
• Develop preventive maintenance strategies.
• Report on KPIs, SLAs, and service performance.
• Develop team members and manage performance.
