SGI CANADA is hiring a Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise data architecture across provinces, ensuring secure, accessible data aligned with business outcomes.
You will translate requirements into scalable data structures, set governance, and oversee data model design, ensuring consistency and quality across data assets.
Work Location: Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta, and Ontario. This role is eligible for in-office, hybrid, or remote work within the provinces where we operate.
Pay Range: $109,052 - $145,411

We’re looking for a Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise data architecture, ensuring data is secure, accessible, and positioned to support strategic business outcomes.
As a Data Architect, you will translate business requirements into standardized, scalable data structures and establish modeling standards, governance frameworks, and conformance practices. In this role, you will also oversee data model design and alignment, ensure consistency, quality, and reusability of data assets.
You bring a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and relationship‑building skills, including:
The skills and experience for this role are typically gained through a four‑year degree in a relevant field of study, like Computer Science, Mathematics & Applied Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, or defined equivalency, along with six years’ experience in data architecture, modeling, or related technology roles with experience in Azure or cloud‑based data platforms, enterprise data solutions, and data integration initiatives. A certification in a recognized data management or architecture discipline (e.g., CDMP, TOGAF, Data Vault) is considered an asset.
