Data Analyst - Product & Business Analytics
Montreal HQ
About Stay22
Based in Montreal, Stay22 helps ambitious creators and intent-rich digital platforms turn their existing traffic into incremental revenue, with technology that works quietly in the background.
Today, more than 6,500 creators and platforms rely on Stay22, with over $1 billion in annual transactions flowing through the platform. Originally built for travel, the company now supports partners across retail, lifestyle, publishing, events, and transport as it expands its monetization infrastructure for the modern creator economy.
Position overview
Every creator and platform that works with Stay22 relies on clear, trustworthy data to understand whether their content and traffic are creating value. In this role, you will help make that picture reliable. You will join a small but high-impact Data & Analytics team and work across three squads: Hub, where partners sign up, manage their accounts and track performance; Integrations, which connects supplier and partner data; and Social, which helps creators turn social content into revenue opportunities.
This is a true analytics role, not a position limited to dashboard production. You will turn ambiguous product and business questions into analysis and recommendations, validate data quality and limitations, and help teams make better decisions. You will use SQL, Python, funnels, cohorts, experimentation and dashboards, while bringing curiosity, asking thoughtful questions and owning problems from the first question through to the next step.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with Product Managers, engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to support product and business initiatives through data.
- Turn unclear questions into clear hypotheses, success metrics and analysis plans.
- Support product experiments and A/B tests by validating setup, defining KPIs and analyzing results.
- Deliver end-to-end analysis for Hub, Social and Integrations, using funnels, cohorts, segmentation, retention and other practical methods.
- Build, maintain and improve dashboards, recurring reports and trusted metrics.
- Validate data quality by checking definitions, duplicates, missing events, freshness and differences between sources.
- Present findings, limitations and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Help teams become more self-sufficient in using data and interpreting results through documentation, clear definitions and reusable analysis.
- Partner with Data Engineering to improve data quality and analytical workflows without owning ETL architecture or infrastructure.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in data analytics, product analytics, business intelligence, growth analytics, strategy, insights or a related field.
- Strong SQL skills and experience owning analyses from clarifying the question through validation, interpretation and recommendation.
- Experience with BI or visualization tools such as Sigma, Looker, Tableau, Power BI or a comparable platform.
- Practical Python experience for data cleaning, exploration, automation, prototyping or working with larger datasets.
- A solid understanding of statistics, metric definition, funnel analysis, cohort analysis, experimentation and A/B testing.
- Strong data-quality judgment, including the ability to identify anomalies, missing events, duplicates, inconsistent definitions and limitations across sources.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to turn complex analysis into practical recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Curiosity, autonomy and comfort asking questions, working through ambiguity, adapting to changing priorities and validating AI-assisted analysis when used.
