Job summary

Raise is hiring a Data Analyst - Expert in Toronto for a 12-month hybrid role. You will collaborate with Commercial Banking, Finance, and other partners to define frameworks and KPIs for digital onboarding, with targets for investor day and data needs for VAM/LMS & North-South.

The role requires 5+ years in banking or financial services, strong Excel/ Tableau skills, and a growth mindset with strong storytelling and communication abilities for executive reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in banking or financial services with data analysis and reporting experience.
• Undergraduate degree in Business Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting or Finance.
• Strong Excel proficiency with modelling, charts and pivots; Tableau experience valued.
• Forecasting and analytics to drive business strategy.
• Clear written and verbal reporting to leadership.

• Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid – (Should be prepared to come into the office at least 4 days per week as per current Banking guidelines)
• Pay Rate: $67.50/hr - $79.70/hr
• Contract Length: 12 Months with possibility for extension

Responsibilities

In this role, you will collaborate across Commercial Banking and functional partners including Finance and other partners for putting together overall framework and KPI associated with digital onboarding, including immediate targets for investor day. Work extends to supporting advisor and Ops need for data for VAM/LMS & North-South

Must Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience in banking or financial services industry with understanding of business and financial reporting, data analysis, and business management
• Undergraduate degree in Business Economics, Statics, Mathematics, Accounting or Finance.
• Strong proficiency and experience working with Advance Excel including modelling, charts, pivot tables, Advance PowerPoint, Word, Tableau.
• Strong forecasting and analytical abilities with the expertise to leverage data-driven insights to develop actionable and forward-looking business strategies.
• Effective storytelling skills – written and verbal skills and attention to detail in preparing reporting and summaries that is provided to product teams and senior / executive leadership.
• A ‘Growth Mindset’ – remain current with emerging consumer / industry trends and embrace new data to generate impactful insights. Proactive and inquisitive mindset, continuously seeking opportunities and the “why” behind data trends to improve existing processes and streamline activities.

Nice To Have Skills

• Experience in Financial or Management reporting.
• Experience doing variance analysis.
• Familiarity with statistical techniques such as regression analysis, clustering.
• Knowledge of bank’s Commercial Banking – liquidity management products and services.
