Role: Transportation Analytics Engineer/Data Analyst

Type: 6 month contract

Location: 5x/week in Cambridge, ON

Rate: $20-$21/hr

JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is looking for a Jr Data Analyst who will be working to maintain analytics infrastructure that powers strategic freight decisions, cost optimization, and operational visibility for the logistics and supply chain team. This role requires the individual to be onsite 5x / week in Cambridge (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm).

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of Power BI analytic skills (Hands-on experience developing and maintaining PowerBI dashboard)
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in MS Suite and experience with Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.,) when debugging issues and automating + maintaining reports
• Experience conducting analysis for negotiation

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Science + Math, Math, etc.,
• Logistics/Systems/Transportation background exposure
• Python for modelling (ability to understand data forecast model build)
• SQL background knowledge (simple queries)
• Tableau in addition to PowerBI would be an asset
