Perimeter Aviation LP in Winnipeg, Canada seeks a 705 Captain to transport passengers safely and on time. You will operate Type B 705 flights, conduct pre-flight inspections, calculate weight and balance, and ensure compliance with SOPs and Transport Canada regulations.

The role requires current Group 1 Instrument Rating, ATPL preferred with 500 hours on DHC-8, and the ability to work flexible schedules and travel as needed. Indigenous awareness training is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Operate flights in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Check weather, NOTAMs, fuel and oil needs.
• Calculate airplane weight and balance.
• Review and accept the Operational Flight Plan (Type B 705).
• Complete pre-flight inspection prior to departure.
• Load/unload cargo as required and secure it.
• Complete flight watch with dispatcher (Type B 705).
• Document post-flight duties and aircraft whereabouts.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Chief Pilot, the 705 Captain transports thousands of passengers each year. As a pilot, your number one priority is to conduct each flight safely, taking into consideration the comfort of each passenger and on-time performance.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Conduct flights with strict adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures, Canadian Aviation Regulations, Aircraft Flight Manual, and the Company Operations Manual
• Check weather, all applicable NOTAMs where available and determine fuel and oil requirements
• Calculate the airplane weight and balance
• Review, amend and accept the Operational Flight Plan(Type B 705 operation)
• Complete an airplane pre-flight inspection before each departure
• Load, unload and secure cargo/freight as required
• Complete flight watch jointly with the flight dispatcher (Type B 705 operation)
• Complete all post flight duties, including notification/confirmation to the Company of the whereabouts of the airplane when away from base, recording flight times and any defects
• Continue to meet and exceed the Transport Canada Qualification standards for a Pilot
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
• Category 1 Medical
• Current Group 1 Instrument Rating
• Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with 500 hours on DHC-8 is preferred
• Previous airline experience is considered an asset
• Pilots must be fluent in English, and be able to demonstrate effective verbal and listening comprehension
• Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset

Working Conditions

• Physically able to perform all listed job duties
• Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role

Work performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditions

Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be able to travel for extended periods
