Job summary

Cable Control Systems Inc. is seeking candidates for a full-time permanent position as underground utility locators. We are open to both experienced locators and those without experience, as all training is provided and compensated.

Successful candidates will receive a training wage of $20.00/hr, with potential increases based on performance. Advanced computer skills and the ability to read schematics are advantageous but not mandatory. A full G License is required.

This position involves outdoor work in York Region or Peel Region, depending on the candidate's residence.

Job description

Seeking candidates for full-time permanent employment as underground utility locators. Seeking both experienced individuals and candidates without any experience. Experienced locators are welcome to apply and the wage is negotiable based on utilities located and length of experience.

All other candidates do not require experience, all training is provided and paid. Training wage is $20.00/hr. Once the candidate has completed training and satisfied the conditions of the Quality Assurance Program, the wage will increase based upon their performance review.

Survey or AUTOCAD/GIS or experience and/or education in reading schematics would be an asset but not required. Advanced computer skills required to complete digital sketches. All equipment is provided, including a vehicle to accomplish your assigned duties. A full G License is required with a clean abstract. All work is performed outdoors and the candidate must be able to carry up to 20 lbs and physically able to walk distances on varied and sometimes rugged terrain.

Successful candidates will be required to begin training process in S/W York Region, but work will be placedeither inYork Region or Peel Region depending on your place of residence. Accepting applications from anywhere in either Region as we have openings across the board. All work is completed on the job site or remotely and will not require work from home or an office.
